Imperial serenity at the shrine

Trip to Tokyo

It’s the stuff of business folklore: the intercontinental trip for a 2-hour meeting. Even in this age of Skype, screenshare, cloud storage and economic imperative, it’s sometimes necessary to sit in a room with someone and talk properly. Even if that room happens to be 9,500 km away.

Last week, Amaze did “100 hours to Japan”, and in that time Tokyo managed (even with just 48 hours on the ground ) to make quite an impression on the three of us that were lucky enough to go on this exciting client engagement.

Here are a few of the photos from our trip:

Tokyo by night.

School girls standing in an orderly fashion at the Emperor’s palance, they also took pictures of us.

A seemingly endless supply of probably very dangerous SAKE on public display in the park.

A typical juxtaposition of new and old at the Imperial Palace.

Gaudy chaos at the famous Hakunhinkan toy store.

Prayer tablets at the shrine to Emperor Meiji.
